Make Money by Getting Elected

Off
January 17th, 2012

While there are some who truly want to become a public servant to help out their community, their state, or their country, the majority of these people trying so hard to get elected to so many positions are not doing it for an unselfish reason. When you see people, like Meg Whitman in California’s most recent governors race, spend millions and millions of her own dollars to win a job that pays only thousands of dollars, you know something is wrong with the system. Her motives, like many other politician hopefuls, are not as clear as her campaign might dictate. As governor, even for two full terms, she would never make nearly as much money as all the money she spent trying to get the job. We have to examine why. The simple principle that she will make money outside of her paycheck would be an obvious reason for such a desperat binaural beats e attempt to merely get in the position. When Mr. Bloomberg won the mayor’s race in New York, the same millions of dollars was spent to win a job that paid thousands, and everyone felt he was insane. The simple fact is that politicians make money hand over fist through lobbyists, special interests, and the backroom deals they make that help them acquire wealth and privilege. It is truly a sad state of affairs from where the representation idea should be.Back in the day, people did not make money as politicians, and many left their farms, businesses, and families back home in shambles to do their civic duties and honestly represent their constituents. Today, people know that the gravy train runs through Washington D.C., and they will do anything to get there so they can suck your tax dollars directly into their personal coffers.

It is go genf20 plus od to take your kid to the police station nearby and let him meet the officers there. Give the kid a valid reason for which the police will be harsh, and that he need not be scared looking at these people in uniform. Tell them that the police officers are here to set the citizens right when they are doing something wrong. The law enforcers can actually visit schools and give brief lectures about how a kid should behave with strangers, how it should take care of itself while walking home and other things that are really useful. Before you slap down your plastic for a car with anti-lock brakes, rear parking sensors and active head restraints, you’d better make sure it comes with electronic stability control. Just like seat belts and air bags, ESC is a revolutionary safety feature. But instead of minimizing a driver’s impact during a crash, ESC helps avoid it in the first place. It improves handling by detecting skids, then uses the car’s braking system to realign errant wheels. It’s so important that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) required a vehicle to come equipped with ESC in order to be considered a 2008 Top Safety Pick. Among the under-$30,000 vehicles named this year: the Honda Accord EX-L Coupe, Kia Sedona EX, Hyundai Santa Fe GLS and the 2009 Subaru Forrester 2.5X. ”We’ve seen ESC reduce fatalities by as much as half in some instances,” said Russ Rader, a spokesman for the Virginia-based IIHS. “ESC is es yeast infection treatment pecially great at reducing the fatalities for single-car crashes.” The organization’s picks were chosen from 2008 cars, minivans, SUVs and pickup trucks. Each vehicle underwent front-, side- and rear-crash tests, and injuries were measured on dummies in the driver’s and back seats. Front-impact crashes are the most commonly fatal accidents, followed by side-impact crashes. While mandatory to be an IIHS Top Pick, side air bags are a standard feature on 65% of vehicles. Rear-impact crash tests generally happen at much lower speeds, resulting in more fender benders than fatalities. Collisions at slow speeds can still be a pain in the neck, though. These accidents are notorious for causing whiplash and a host of other back problems. Designed to mimic real-world crash conditions, the IIHS front-crash tests run at 40 miles per hour, side-impact tests at 31 miles per hour and rear-crash tests at 20 miles an hour.
